Restaurant a la fontaine

We had a great lunch at a la Fontaine. They had a special menu with a choice of soup or salad, and choice of several main dishes. I had a salad, my wife chose the soup. We both had beef bourgonion. Tea or coffee completed the deal. It was a good value,and very tasty. The service was top-notch, and the restaurant itself was charming. I would be interested in learning more about the hotel part of the business. Highly recommended, and we will return. I neglected to mention that as an anglophone from the U.S, the whole experience in Sutton seems a little exotic with everyone speaking French. That being said, our hosts at La Fontaine were quite proficient in, and willing to converse in English. Part of the fun for me is to try speaking French, and they made me feel at ease with my less than fluent French. Two thumbs up.

My go to restaurant when in Sutton. Old school atmosphere, service, and solid French food at its finest. Great wine selection!

The food was excellent, had escargots and rabbit, and my partner had lobster bisque and duck. The service was also quite nice, as was the atmosphere. Thoroughly enjoyed it and would come back again!

Delicious food and nice service. Not so many choices for food but a stylish french style menu. The onion soup was excellent. The salad ceaser was good and creamy. I had also beef Straganov. The cream was good and beef was joicy.

The food is awesome. My husband loves French cuisine and he really really loves all the dishes we had, duck, salmon, spinach soup, linguine and we especially loves the dessert,...soooo good. The service is excellent finally, the price is very very reasonable. Highly recommend for everyone.

Lovely atmosphere, super service and excellent food. Waitstaff were attentive and very helpful when my friend was stung by a bee. Prices were moderate but the food quality more than warranted the bill.

This is our second visit to la fontaine restaurant in about five years and the service and the food have if anything, just improved. It's in a beautifully maintained old house, right on the main street of Sutton, and serves delicious French cuisine with attentive service.
